I updated my online waterworks calculator website WaterWorksCalc.com.I also added this audio podcast discussion of my background. There is a 9 second delay after pressing the start arrow before the audio starts.

I am a licensed civil engineer in California with 48 years of experience. I provide water supply planning services to water agencies with a regional and policy-level focus. My experience includes being the:
• responsible engineer for 186 projects for 85 clients
• project manager for 154 of those projects with a cumulative total of $20 million in fees
I have secured the majority of the projects that I have been the responsible engineer for. I was the sales leader for 127 of these projects, which included securing 27 new clients for BC.These projects included preparing 296 water studies. The number of studies by type are presented in the chart below.

I have also led:
• 25 design projects
• 16 construction inspection projects
My contributions to the water industry include:
• presenting at 29 professional water conferences
• serving as chair of two professional organization committees
• assisting in writing three water manuals
• serving as 2024 chair of the Sacramento Groundwater Authority
• holding the position of an elected director of a water district for 27 years
This depth of experience provides a unique blend of knowledge and judgment to help clients reach well-informed decisions.

Engineers must be licensed in the state they practice in. Engineering license verification in California can be searched here.

Word cloud from my 41 page detailed resume. The size of the text is correlated to the frequency of the word.

I have led engineering projects for 85 clients with 37 being repeat clients.

Included with this website are photographs I have taken of several significant mountains. Mountain peaks represent for me a key feature of our natural world.

Water System Engineering Tools

I have developed a waterworks calculator website called WaterWorksCalc.com. The site provides a convenient location to quickly perform common water system engineering calculations. The site has pipe flow velocity, pipe sizing, and pump station energy use calculators.I have several spreadsheet water calculator models that I plan to make available in the near future.
